The FFmpeg inside Transient, and how it was built
Transient ships FFmpeg 8.1, built from the official source without the GPL parts, under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or later. This page carries the exact source archive that build came from, its signature, the build script, the configure line and environment, and the checksums of what ships, so anyone can rebuild the same FFmpeg and replace the copy inside the app. The licence text travels with the app, under Settings, Open-source licences.
